Discover five key areas where Klipspringer can help you succeed in your new role.

Success in food production is easier when you have the right tools and strategies in place.

The support we provide will help you get up to speed quickly, stay on top of audits, maintain hygiene standards, and feel confident in your decisions from day one.

1.Β Accessing Your Web PortalΒ Β

A Klipspringer web login gives you immediate visibility of the equipment and systems used across your site. For new starters,Β it’sΒ often the fastest way to understand what has been ordered previously, what is currently in use, and which items form part of routine checks or audits.Β

Your Web Portal Provides:Β

  • Complete order history, including product codes and quantitiesΒ
  • Saved baskets and β€œfavourites” lists for consistent reorderingΒ
  • Access to quotes, including those created before you joinedΒ
  • The ability to addΒ new usersΒ or colleagues whereΒ requiredΒ

This level of visibility will helpΒ you quickly make sense of existing purchasing patterns, including the colours, sizes, and equipment styles that areΒ used inΒ different factory zones.Β

It will also highlightΒ frequentlyΒ used products,Β items approaching end of life, and any duplicated or inconsistent ordering practices.Β

By reviewing this information early on, you can make informed decisions,Β maintainΒ consistency across your site, andΒ identifyΒ opportunities for improvement in procurement.Β

Once you have your online account set up, you will also be able to access relevant documentation for your equipment via your Audit Portal. This will make it quicker and easier to prepare for upcoming inspections.Β

2.Β Ensuring InstrumentsΒ areΒ Audit‑ReadyΒ

Many new starters inherit a mixture of on‑site and off‑site calibration processes, with certificates stored across email chains, filing cabinets,Β andΒ shared folders.Β

Klipspringer’s Equipment and Calibrations Portal brings all of this information together in one place, giving you a clear overview of your site’s instrumentation from day one.Β

Your Equipment and Calibrations Portal Provides:Β

  • A central location for the storage of documents and certificatesΒ
  • Details of when each item is next due for calibrationΒ
  • Details of whether off-site or on‑site calibration is usedΒ
  • Information relating to which instruments require urgent attention ahead of auditsΒ

Having this information online makes audit preparation far simpler. Certificates are stored securely, updated automatically after each calibration, and accessible whenever you need them.Β

Automatic calibration alerts can also be set up for your instrumentation, providing reminders ahead of due dates. For many new starters, this becomes a valuable early win, as it’s a quick way to reduce admin and avoid missed deadlines.Β

3. Understanding Your Colour-Coding Policy

Klipspringer can help you understand and take control of your site’s colour-coding policy. For new starters, this is often a key area to review, as it highlights how effectively controls are being applied across different zones.

Assessing how colour-coding is used in practice allows you to identify gaps between policy and reality, for example tools being used in the wrong zones or inconsistent behaviour across teams.

From here, you can take steps to strengthen compliance. This may include introducing clearer visual management, such as signage to define zones or site maps that reinforce colour allocation. These measures will make expectations more visible and easier to follow.

It is also common to find that colour-coding policies have become overly complex over time. Too many categories can make systems harder to understand and less effective. By taking a risk-based approach, you can simplify your policy and focus on what matters most to product integrity.

We can support you at every stage of this process, whether you are reviewing an existing policy, understanding historical purchasing patterns, or planning changes to your colour-coding system.

We supply production and hygiene equipment in up to 11 colours. Our team also specialises in colour-coded shadow boards that will reinforce your policy during day-to-day operations. Shadow boards give equipment a clearly defined home, making it easier to return tools to the correct location, quickly identify missing items, and avoid cross-zone usage.

4. Environmental Testing, Allergen Control, and Hygiene Best Practice

Depending on your role, you may inherit responsibility for environmental testing, allergen control, and/or hygiene monitoring. Klipspringer can support you in understanding your site’s current approach, while identifying opportunities to make improvements.

Environmental Testing

Klipspringer supplies a range of simple, colour-change environmental swab tests, making them easy to roll out across your site and straightforward for teams to use and interpret.

These tests deliver fast results, helping you to take corrective action quickly and reduce delays in your hygiene processes. They are also highly sensitive, enabling the detection of even low levels of target organisms.

For Listeria and E. coli testing, any organisms detected remain viable for further analysis. This means positive samples can be sent away for additional testing, removing the need for repeat sampling and saving both time and cost.

Allergen Control

If your site handles allergens, testing might become a critical part of your new role. At Klipspringer, we provide rapid tests for surface samples, rinse water, and food products, alongside ELISA tests for highly sensitive detection in both raw materials and processed foods.

These tests remove many of the complex steps associated with traditional methods. This makes them easier to train, quicker to use, and less prone to operator error. They are also competitively priced, offering an opportunity to reduce testing costs without compromising accuracy.

Hygiene Monitoring

If your site currently relies on standard ATP testing, this could be both a source of confusion and an opportunity for improvement. When it comes to ATP tests, many teams experience inconsistent results, with surfaces often passing ATP tests despite failing visual checks or other methods.

This is because ATP is an unstable molecule that degrades into ADP and AMP during processes such as heating, cooking, and cleaning. As standard ATP tests only detect ATP, other forms of organic residue can go unnoticed.

In contrast, the A3 System detects ATP, ADP, and AMP, providing a more complete picture of surface cleanliness. This reduces the need for repeat testing, improves confidence in hygiene controls, and ultimately lowers the risk of a food safety incident.
