A comprehensive guide to managing the calibration of your Food Oil Monitors - supported by our in-house Service Centre.

The ongoing calibration and service of your Food Oil Monitors will help your site to:

  • Ensure oil readings are accurate and reliable
  • Secure audit compliance with the expected certification
  • Extend the lifespan of equipment - recalibrate or repair, rather than replace

The following Help Guide will cover everything you need to know about managing the calibration of your Food Oil Monitors, featuring a helpful Video Tutorial on returning your instrument(s) to the Klipspringer Service Centre.

How do I know when my Food Oil Monitor needs to be sent away for calibration?

There are three key ways to track the calibration of your Food Oil Monitors:

1. The date of the last calibration can be found on the back of your Food Oil Monitor probe. You can use this information to work out when the next calibration is due, as it is typical for this process to be repeated at least once a year.

2. You can write the date of your next calibration on the bottom of your Food Oil Monitor Instrument Station.Β This will help to keep equipment calibration at the forefront of your team’s mind, encouraging proactivity and accountability.

3. Klipspringer provides free calibration reminders, so you will never be caught out by calibration deadlines again. Our team will send you an email reminder with a Service Returns Form attached. The calibration of your equipment will then be carried out at our in-house Service Centre in just 3-5 working days.

The following video will guide you through the process of returning your Food Oil Monitors to Klipspringer’s in-house Service Centre for calibration.

How do I arrange the calibration of my Food Oil Monitor? – Written Instructions

1. In your calibration reminder email, there will be a link that takes you through to a webpage where you can arrange a free Royal Mail collection for your instrument(s).Β

2. Complete the Royal Mail form online, then decide how you would like to return your instrument(s). Sites tend to favour the collection service over the parcel drop-off.Β

3. Once you have booked your collection,
a Tracked Returns Label will be sent through to your inbox ready to print. You will need to attach this label to the outside of your parcel.

4. Print the Klipspringer Returns Form attached to your calibration reminder email. Fill out the form, detailing the action required (e.g. calibration), plus any additional notes.Β

5. Place the Klipspringer Returns Form inside your parcel, alongside your instrument(s). Royal Mail will then return the parcel to Klipspringer’s in-house Service Centre.

6. Once we have received the instrument(s), we will send you through a Calibration Quote. You can then raise a Purchase Order Number (PO) for the calibration process.

7. The calibration process will be completed in just 3-5 working days. Your instrument(s) will then be returned to your site via a tracked courier, accompanied by a Calibration Certificate. A digital version of this certificate can be stored on the Klipspringer Online Portal. Our Service Centre can also manage the repair or replacement of any equipment.
