At Klipspringer, we start each year with a Full Team Event. This provides both our office and remote workers with an opportunity to reflect on the milestones of the last twelve months and prepare for an even better year ahead. Β

A day of presentations, workshops, and team-building activities, our January Full Team Event is all about getting inspired – energising our team as we address key learnings from 2024 and explore new opportunities to resolve common industry challenges, expand our range of products and services, and further enhance the Klipspringer customer experience.Β Β

The following article provides a brief overview of the event – sharing our highlights and most valuable takeaways.Β Β

A Breakfast Buffet and Opening Remarks

As you can imagine, the Klipspringer team was excited to reconnect after the festive break. We also wanted to welcome three new team members: Β

  • Mackenzie Bradshaw, Customer Support ExecutiveΒ
  • Matthew Flewitt, Service, Calibration and Development EngineerΒ
  • Jamie Hart, Warehouse and Production Team LeaderΒ

Luckily, there was plenty of opportunity to do so thanks to the impressive breakfast buffet. Β

Once we had enjoyed the delicious pastries, it was time to gather round for a presentation from the Klipspringer Board of Directors.

This presentation provided an honest and open look at the Klipspringer journey throughout 2024 – shining a light on the excellent work carried out by different departments across the business.Β Β

The Klipspringer Awards 2024

Next, it was time for the Klipspringer Awards 2024. This has long been a highlight of our January Full Team Events, with everyone eager to find out which of their co-workers were being celebrated.Β Β

The first category was Mountain Mover. This award was won by James Sheppard, our fantastic Operations Manager. James played a key role in Klipspringer’s recent move of premises, helping to prevent any downtime on deliveries.Β

The second category was Above and Beyond. This award was given to Steve Ward, our brilliant Laboratory Assistant, in recognition of his unwavering dedication to supporting his colleagues in both the laboratory and the wider Klipspringer Team.Β

The third category was the Hungry Caterpillar, given to Hadley Smith, our hard-working Product Category Executive. This award is all about striving to learn and grow – an attitude Hadley is well known for at Klipspringer.Β

The Helping Hand award was presented to Sherelle Smith, our excellent Executive Assistant. Always happy to help, Sherelle is a reliable, enthusiastic, and positive presence at Klipspringer HQ.Β

Finally, the Wikipedia Award was given to our amazing Key Account Director, Alex Carlyon. Alex leads the way when it comes to understanding our wide range of products and services – a true expert in his field!Β

A Delicious Lunch for the Klipspringer Team

The lunch break brought with it a special surprise; a fillet steak meal expertly barbequed by our Commercial Director Pete Carlyon. Then for dessert, a delicious chocolate torte served with fresh berries and cream. Working within the food production industry, food is incredibly important to the Klipspringer Team, so it was fantastic to be treated to such culinary delights!Β Β

Two Interactive Workshops

After a restorative coffee break, we took part in the first of two sessions from Leadership Coach Bob Hayward and Business Results Coach Jim Hetherton. This workshop was all about reflecting on the key learnings of 2024.Β

It was great to see team members from different departments coming together to share their unique perspectives and we certainly learnt a lot.Β Β

The second workshop built on findings from the first, encouraging participants to secure success with the help of a positive mindset. Bob and Jim shared the mantra:

β€˜Good, Better, Best, never let it rest, until your Good is Better and your Better is your Best.’

Continuous improvement is certainly something we strive for here at Klipspringer, so it was great to receive even more pointers on how to make this happen.

We were particularly inspired by a demonstration involving our Operations Manager James, during which Jim highlighted the importance of using positive language and having a positive mindset.Β

A Fireside Chat with our Board of Directors

The day ended with a Fireside Chat with our Board of Directors. During this session, the Klipspringer team was given the opportunity to ask questions surrounding the results of 2024 and our company-wide plans for 2025.

There was plenty of energy and enthusiasm in the room, with team members from across the business sharing their thoughts, experiences, and ideas.Β Β

Our directors also did a fantastic job of defining our objectives for 2025 and laying out the road map for another successful year as the dependable food safety compliance partner of choice.Β

So, there you have it, an overview of our January Full Team Event. We’re thrilled to say the day was enjoyed by all – the perfect celebration of our 2024 achievements and a fantastic start to 2025.Β Β

The event has also inspired the Klipspringer Team to deliver an even better level of service to our customers over the next 12 months.
