How to Safely Use the Stainless Steel Multipurpose PPE Dispenser
Using the Stainless Steel Multipurpose PPE Dispenser to Safely Store Your Equipment
Use this Help Guide to ensure safe, hygienic, and efficient use of the Stainless Steel Multipurpose PPE Dispenser. Further details can be found over on the Klipspringer Online Portal.
What is the Dispenser for?
As the name suggests, this Multipurpose PPE Dispenser can be used to house a wide variety of protective equipment.
It has been designed with loose PPE items in mind, such as loose hair nets, mob caps, beard snoods, and gloves.
It is intended for free-flowing items that can be easily retrieved from the tray at the bottom of the dispenser and should not be used for tightly packed items that are likely to get stuck.

Risks to Avoid
-
Operatives pushing their hands and wrists into the opening of the dispenser, especially under the front lip, which may cause cuts and scrapes.
-
Team members trying to force items out of the dispenser, even when the PPE is stuck.
-
Operatives overfilling the dispenser so the items are pressing against the lid or front opening, causing them to bind.
| ✅ Do | ❌ Don’t |
|---|---|
| Load only loose items that can move freely. | Force tightly packed or boxed gloves into the Multipurpose PPE Dispenser. |
| Open the lid when refilling or adjusting contents. | Push your hand deep inside under the front lip. |
| Ensure items are not pressing against the front edge or lid. | Overfill or cram the dispenser so items become stuck. |
How to Use the Dispenser Correctly
Loading the Dispenser
- Before loading, ensure the lid is open to give more room and visibility.
- If the items (e.g. gloves) are clumped together and don’t move freely, gently loosen them. Do not cram tightly.
- Arrange the items so there is a space above the tray lip for them to drop down toward the opening of the PPE dispenser.
Dispensing / Retrieving Items
- Use your fingers to take items from the tray at the bottom of the dispenser. Don’t reach in any further than necessary.
- If multiple items are stuck together, gently separate them without pushing your hand deep under the front edge.
- Keep your hand and wrist above the front edge to avoid contact with the lip of the dispenser.

Maintenance and Refilling
- Periodically check the dispenser to see whether items are stuck or packed too densely. If so, open the lid and adjust contents.
- Regularly clean the dispenser edges, especially the front lip, to avoid sharp burrs or irregularities from wear and damage.
- Ensure the dispenser is secure and level, so items slide freely, and there’s no tipping or shifting. Many sites choose to mount their Multipurpose PPE Dispensers on a shadow board.
