SegriScreens support effective segregation within the food production industry. Suited to everything from allergen segregation to washdown protection, they offer the following benefits:

  • Mobile screens connect to form a continuous, connected barrier.
  • Modular system - simply add or remove as many SegriScreens as required.
  • Screens nest for convenient storage and transportation.
  • Favoured by industry leads such as Bakkavor, Kerry, and Greencore.
  • Hygienically designed for food industry applications.
  • Add bespoke print for personalised branding, safety or instruction messages.

NEW! SegriScreen Design

Now with a new and improved design, Klipspringer SegriScreens also promise:

  • Stronger design: bolted corner plates have been replaced with welds.
  • New popper system: eliminates the need for rings and eyelets.
  • 40% fewer components: reducing the risk of foreign body incidents.
  • Easy assembly:Β one person can assemble in under 10 minutes.

As mentioned above, the new SegriScreen design is easier than ever to assemble, taking one person under 10 minutes. Even, so we wanted to produce an online Help Guide that you can return to if you ever need to remind yourself of the process.

SegriScreen Assembly – Video Instructions

SegriScreen Assembly – Written Instructions

1. Select a suitable flat, open area for assembly (minimum 3x3m). Lay out as shown, ensuring the male poppers on PART A and PARTΒ B face upwards. The pins on PARTΒ C and the loops on PARTΒ D should be pointing down.Β Β

2. FitΒ PART C (vertical left bar) and PART D (vertical right bar) into PART BΒ (horizontal bottom bar). To ensure there is a tight fit, it’s important that the components and fixing holes align.Β

3. Use one PART F (M6 x 20mm bolt) and one PART GΒ (M6 anti-vibration washer) on each side to fix the vertical bars (PARTS C and D) to the bottom horizontal bar (PART B). The suggested bolt torque value is 10 Nm.Β

4. Use oneΒ PART FΒ (M6 x 20mm bolt) and oneΒ PART GΒ (M6 anti-vibration washer) on each side to fix the vertical barsΒ (PARTS C and D) to the top horizontal bar (PART A). The suggested bolt torque value is 10 Nm.Β

NOTE: The M6 washers are dome shaped. They should be fitted so the larger diameter is in contact with the frame and the smaller diameter is in contact with the bolt face.

5. Lift the completed frame to an upright position and insertΒ PART EΒ (wheel bases) into each side. Use two PART F (M6 x 20mm bolts) and two PART GΒ (M6 anti-vibration washers) on each side to fix in place.Β

6. The PVC screen panel attaches to the stainless steel frame using two-part snap fixings. Once you have pressed the screen fittings onto the front of the frame, your SegriScreen will be ready to use.Β

NOTE: The flat side of the wheel section should face outwards. Master screens have two sets of wheels. Additional/Extension screens have only one set of wheels.Β

Connecting your SegriScreens

SegriScreens can operate as a modular system, with screens added or removed as/when necessary. This will typically occur when the protection/segregation of a larger area of your factory is required.

To join multiple SegriScreens together, ensure the Additional/Extension screens only have one set of wheels.

Next, join the SegriScreens together by connecting the two male/female fittings on each vertical side. There are two male/female fittings on each side.

How to clean, maintain, and store your SegriScreens

When it comes to introducing any new equipment to your site, it is vital that you and your team are aware of the best approach to cleaning, storage, and maintenance.

This will help you to drive standards of hygiene and food safety. It will also help you to extend the lifespan of your equipment. With this in mind, we have put together a guide to effective SegriScreen maintenance.

Alternatively, if you are looking for a couple of quick pointers, the most important tips to remember are listed below.

1. SegriScreen bolts should be checked at regular three month intervals (or as specified by the policies at your food production site).

2. General cleaning and disinfection should be performed as per company procedure, factoring in the following guidelines:

  • Normal detergent with warm water may be used for general cleaning.
  • When cleaning your SegriScreens, the use of strong chemicals should be avoided.
  • Ensure all chemicals are rinsed off your SegriScreens at the end of each clean.

Removing the SegriScreen PVC Panel

1a. Insert a screwdriver between the male and female snap fittings, then prise open.

1b. At the same time, pull the PVC screen panel away from the stainless steel frame.

Disposing of your SegriScreens

With the correct approach to cleaning, storing, and maintenance, your SegriScreens should stand the test of time.

However, if an unexpected incident should occur, replacement screens are available – allowing you to replace the material whilst making use of the existing base.

Alternatively, if you need to dispose of both the frame and the screen, you will need to separate the PVC screen panel from the stainless steel frame. You can then dispose of each part as per your site’s existing policies. This equipment is fully recyclable.
