"The auditors are very, very pleased with the WatchmanOne system. It’s so useful to be able to view graphs and draw accurate data comparisons over time. It’s also allowed us to stop all manual checks which saves hours – even days – of time.”

Case Study - Quorn Foods

We recently conducted a Case Study with one of our valued customers – Quorn Foods. This study details the support we provided to the Quorn Foods team as they updated and enhanced their site with the help of our WatchmanOne Wireless Monitoring System. From driving efficiency to securing a greater understanding of trends, the many benefits brought to the Quorn Foods site are a testament to the WatchmanOne’s ability to enhance a factory’s processes. Proud of our work with Quorn Foods, we wanted to share this success story with sites that are hoping to achieve similar results.

What types of sensors are available?

Although there are sensors to measure almost every environmental condition you can think of, the most popular examples include temperature, humidity, energy, door contact, and concentration.

If you have any questions about your site’s requirements, you can contact us on 01473 461800 or sales@klipspringer.com. Alternatively, you can use the contact form at the bottom of this page to arrange a consultation

Are the sensors UKAS calibrated?

Yes, the WatchmanOne sensors can be supplied alongside calibration certificates from the Klipspringer Laboratory. These certificates are traceable to UKAS standards.

What are the benefits of a temperature monitoring system?

  • Automated reporting for easy analysis
  • Instant alarm notifications allow you to act before stock is lost
  • Although there is an upfront cost, there are no ongoing fees
  • Data is fully secured, with permission-based user access
  • UKAS traceable sensors with calibration certificates
  • Waterproof and hygienic factory installation for sensor protection

Can I install the WatchmanOne system myself?

The system’s manual will prove invaluable if you decide to install the system independently. You should also take a look at the Set-Up Guide linked below. Alternatively, if you would like support with your installation or for Klipspringer to manage the process, this can be arranged.

Is it possible to scale up the system in the future?

Depending on the base package you select, you can add up to 150 sensors. The WatchmanOne system has been designed to grow – expanding to reflect the changing needs of your operation.

How do I connect the base station to the network at my site?

This is a simple process. All you have to do is use the Ethernet cable that comes with the system to plug the base station into either a network port or directly into your router.

Once you have done this, you can assign the base station a static IP. If you would prefer to skip this step, simply select network mode, as this will allow your network to automatically assign the details.

See the WatchmanOne manual and the Set-Up Guide linked below for further guidance.

What do I do if the area I want to monitor doesn’t have internet access?

The first option is to operate the base station as a standalone system. This will allow you to view live data. However, if you want to arrange alarm notifications or view reports and graphs, you will need to connect directly to a laptop or computer.

The second option is to connect the system to a 3G or 4G router. This will afford you remote access and will allow you to view both live and historic data. However, this will require you to set up a data contract.

What will happen if there is a power outage at my site?

The WatchmanOne system has a 12 hour battery back-up installed as standard. This means that the system can continue to record data for twelve hours even if the main power source has been lost.
