Sustainability at Klipspringer
We care about our impact on the world and have embraced our social responsibility to become a more sustainable organisation.
Spearheaded by our FutureFirst initiative, we are working towards a brighter future where everyone can thrive.
Our 3-Pillar Approach
1. Customers
It’s important that we understand the sustainability commitments of our customers – helping them to achieve their Scope 3 ambitions. We want to provide support and solutions every step of the way.
2. Products & Services
We have adopted a holistic approach to the expansion of our product portfolio, leaving no stone unturned as we work to minimise the environmental impact of the products and services we provide.
3. Company
‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ is an established way of thinking here at Klipspringer. We are also committed to driving a circular economy within our UK and European-based supply chain.
Sedex Certification
Klipspringer is an active member of Sedex. This certification reflects our dedication to sustainable global supply chains that benefit both people and the environment.
Klipspringerβs Sustainability Solutions
As mentioned above, our second sustainability pillar is to develop products and services that will help sites to minimise their environmental impact. Below are just five of the areas where we have done this. From our range of recycled cleaning equipment to our increasingly popular trade-in schemes, we are proud of the progress we’ve made so far and determined to continue this work.
Klipspringer Shadow Boards
We are committed to leading the way in sustainable shadow board manufacturing. Our latest initiatives include:
Shadow boards manufactured using materials made in the UK (reduced CO2 footprint).
Sites purchasing new shadow boards qualify for our Shadow Board Recycling Scheme.
Our manufacturing process has a closed loop system for waste, including end-of-life boards.
A Culture of Sustainability
Our sustainability efforts stretch right across the business, effecting positive change in every aspect of our operation.
We have been a member of Sedex since 2017, a market leading sustainability platform that requires full compliance with the Ethical Trading Initiative.
We also run a Bike2Work Scheme, Electric Car Scheme, and have made Reduce, Reuse, Recycle a core part of our company ethos.
What’s more, Klipspringer’s electric supply has been 100% renewable since July 2025.

Webinar: Sustainable Cleaning Practice
Food production is responsible for 1/4 of the worldβs greenhouse gas emissions. Amidst calls for food businesses to prioritise more sustainable practices, eco-friendly cleaning approaches are a frequently forgotten part of the equation.
With this in mind, Klipspringer Director Alex Carlyon, FoodClean Director Dan Turner, and Phil Kulkowski, the Hygiene Consultant for Hygiene Improvement Solutions, sat down for a webinar on sustainable cleaning practice.
